Kentucky House of Representatives is the lower house of the Kentucky General Assembly, the state legislature of Kentucky. The Kentucky House of Representatives has 100 members. Each member is elected from a single-member geographic district within the state. A Speaker of the House is elected from among their number to preside over the body. Other officers of the body - as in many other American legislative chambers - include the Speaker Pro Tempore, Majority Leader, Minority Leader, Majority Whip and Minority Whip.

In the early 1990s the Kentucky House of Representatives was rocked by scandal when numerous state legislators including Speaker of the House Don Blandford were indicted and convicted on corruption charges.
