London | List of places in London

Kidbrooke is a place in the London Borough of Greenwich. It takes its name from the Kyd Brook, a watercourse elsewhere known as the River Quaggy, a tributary to the River Ravensbourne.

Kidbrooke School, which opened in 1954, was the first purpose built comprehensive in Britain.

Famous residents have included Jim Davidson, who grew up in Holburne Road, Danny Baker, Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen and Sandie Shaw.

Kidbrooke is also home to the infamous Ferrier Housing Estate, one of the largest and most deprived council developments in London. The housing estate is due to be demolished and redeveloped[1].
