Klushino

Klushino (Russian: Клушино, Polish: Kłuszyn) is a Russian village situated on the old road between Vyazma and Mozhaysk, not far from Gzhatsk (at 55°40′15″N, 35°3′12″E). It was the site of a major battle in the Russo-Polish War (1605-1618). The village is also known as the birthplace of Yuri Gagarin, the first man to be launched in space. There is a Gagarin museum devoted to Gagarin and his family.
