Krasnoluzhsky Bridge

Krasnoluzhsky Bridge used to carry the Little Ring of the Moscow Railway across the Moskva River between Luzhniki District and Berezhkovskaya Embankment. This railway bridge was considered a marvel of engineering upon its inauguration in 1907. It was designed by engineer Lavr Proskuryakov and architect Alexander Pomerantsev, also responsible for such innovative structures as the GUM and Andreyevsky Bridge. In 2000, the structure was moved closer to Borodinsky Bridge and rebuilt specifically for foot traffic. It was reopened in September 2001 as Bogdan Khmelnitsky Pedestrian Bridge.
