Starting from 2002, the university has held a regional conference between South Korea and China about Sustainable development of the Northeast Asia region.

[edit] Trivia

  • The Korean pronunciation of the university is exactly the same as the previous Keijo Imperial University, which became Seoul National University after Korea became independent in 1948. The Hanja, or Chinese character, renditions of the two names are, however, different, Keijo Imperial University having been rendered in Hanja as 京城大學校. The two universities do not have any relationship.
