Lancaster Girls' Grammar School (LGGS) is a state grammar school for girls in Lancaster, England. The school was founded in 1907 [2].

Appointed in Autumn 1986, Mrs. Pam Barber took over from Mrs. Gillian Lea. She is retiring at the end of the school year in 2007, and is currently advertising the post as headteacher. Mrs. Cahalin (currently Deputy Headmistress) has been appointed as headteacher from 2007 onwards.

The School has a fantastic recent academic record, currently achieving the best A Level and GCSE results, as well the best "value added" measures from Key Stage 2 to GCSE for any state school in Lancashire.

The school is very proud of its networks, it has built up a strong relationship with Lancaster Royal Grammar School, and annually conduct a "Challenge of Management" as a joint venture. The Head girl plays a major role in this, which this year at LGGS is Miss Becky Grigg.
