Lauri Pihkala

Lauri "Tahko" Pihkala (18881981) was the father of Finnish baseball. He also competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics in discus throw.

Pihkala was an avid sports fan, and developed several games. Finnish baseball is the best known of these. He became a professor in 1948.
