Limey can refer to:

  • An Englishman, as a national epithet. It comes from the historical British naval practice of supplying its sailors with lime juice to prevent scurvy. The word came into popular usage by the French during the Napoleonic wars. In popular culture it is used as a derogatory term mainly by Americans and Australians, although many Englishmen comment on it having little effect as the only 'real rivalries' they would claim to bear are with the Welsh, the Scottish and perhaps the Irish.
  • The Limey, a 1999 film directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Terence Stamp.
