- Linus was a figure mentioned at Paul of Tarsus's Second Epistle to Timothy: 'Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.' (2Tim.4:21, KJV) This may or may not be the same person as Pope Linus.
