Lip is the main character from the puzzle game Panel de Pon. In the non-Japanese version of the game, Tetris Attack, she was replaced with Yoshi, and in the Nintendo Puzzle Collection she was replaced with her daughter Furil. Lip refers to herself as a flower fairy.

Though Lip herself is absent from the series, an item known as the Lip's Stick appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Modelled after the flower wand Lip holds, hitting an opponent with it will cause a flower to sprout on their heads which slowly increases their damage. The more times hit, the larger the flower grows and the faster it does damage. The flower is also altered in size based on the type of attack, i.e., just pressing the A button creates a smaller flower than tilting or tapping the control stick at the same time. It also appears as a trophy. Additionally, one of Kirby's stone transformations is Lip's garbage block.
