[edit] Umigame Image:One Star DB.svgcharacter appears in the Dragon Ball Z seriescharacter appears in the Dragon Ball GT series

Image:Umigame.jpg Muten-Rôshi's friend and long-time companion, the good-natured lovable turtle lives in the Kame House with the elderly hermit. During DBZ in the anime, he celebrates his 1,000th birthday in episode 117. He plays a relatively small part in the manga, but he has quite a few large roles in the anime. When he first appeared, he was in the wilderness, alone and lost. He was picking mushrooms when he got separated from his friends and had since been wandering around on land for over a year. Goku kindly takes on the task of returning him to the ocean, which he is very grateful for. It is Umigame who introduces Roshi to Bulma and Goku. Umigame does not care much for Muten-Rōshi's perverted interests, enjoying honest interests himself. He was the first animal character Goku ever meets and befriends, giving a small sense of irony that in the final Dragon Ball GT episode, he's one of the few friends Goku bids farewell after departing with Shenlong. In the anime, his power level is 0.001, as evident when Bulma tests Raditz's scouter in the Saiyan Saga.

[edit] Shū Image:One Star DB.svgcharacter appears in the Dragon Ball GT series

Main article: Shū

Emperor Pilaf's ninja crony who apparently is a human dog. He and Mai usually work together to carry out the work of their vertically-challenged and short tempered Emperor. He's one of the first villains in the Dragon Ball series, but perhaps villain is too strong a word. He's almost comic relief. Originally known as Soba in the manga, but was renamed due to match the anime name given after Akira Toriyama forgot he had named him previously.

[edit] Captain Yellow Image:One Star DB.svg

Image:CaptainYellow.jpg One of the high-ranking officers of the Red Ribbon Army, and the RRA's personal master aviator. He is one of the many humanoid animal characters in the original Dragonball and Yellow happens to be a tiger. We see him briefly in the manga and anime as he goes around trying to find the Dragonballs for General Copper, his commanding officer. Yellow is supposedly killed by Goku, who punches him out of his plane.

In the anime, Yellow had a slightly longer life, but he is still the shortest-living officer, having been defeated and possibily killed in the same episode or chapter of manga he appeared. In the Funimation English dub of Dragonball, he was given an Austrailian accent, but the actual voice actor remained unspecified.

[edit] Gregory character appears in the Dragon Ball Z seriescharacter appears in the Dragon Ball GT series

Image:Gregory.gif Kaio-sama's motor-mouth pupil, a little flying cricket named Gregory. He only appears in the anime and in a couple movies. He's very respectful of his master and always speaks highly of him, but he'll talk trash to anyone he doesn't believe is better than him. He is killed when Cell blows up on Kaio-sama's planet. He was the main objective in North Kaio's test and the point of the test was to catch and hit Gregory on the head with a hammer.

[edit] Inoshikachyou Image:One Star DB.svg

A very large (and odd-looking) wild boar which Tenshinhan and Chaozu use as part of their con act. They tell the creature to destroy a town, so it does. Tenshinhan and Chaozu then step forward and offer to kill the beast for money. Obviously they pretend to kill it, and they get the townspeople's money. They go from town to town doing the same thing, until Goku messes up their evil plans. This creature only appears in the anime. Inoshikachyou is a pun on the "Ino-Shika-Cho" winning combination in Hanafuda. Inoshikachyou also gets its appearance from that name; Inoshikachyou is a boar with deer antlers and butterfly wings. This corresponds to "ino" meaning boar, "shika" for deer and "chyou" for butterfly.

[edit] Pteranodon Family character appears in the Dragon Ball Z series

A family of Pterodactyls' that Gohan and Goten befriend. Gohan and Goten call their baby "Chibi" which means little or small. Gohan refers to the father as Toto, but the mother's name is never mentioned. Chibi is captured by the circus and the Great Saiyaman/Gohan tries to rescue him, but before he can, Chibi's momma and papa go on an angry rampage searching for their child. They only appear in the anime.

[edit] Bee character appears in the Dragon Ball Z series

Bee is the little dog who Buu finds and befriends along with Mr. Satan. Buu bonds with the puppy and is playing catch with him when the dog is shot by two gangsters. Buu heals the puppy, but he's enraged by the event and even more so after they shoot at Mr. Satan, which causes him to flip and create Evil Buu. During the end of the Buu Saga, Mr. Satan and Bee travel around the area until they encounter Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks and Super Buu. Fans get to see a lighter, more caring side of Mr. Satan during this time, as he makes sure that Bee is safe while the Super Saiyan Vegetto clashes with Buu. Bee lives with Mr. Satan and Buu after the Buu Saga and is once being looked after by Bulma and Trunks in Wrath of the Dragon (presumably being lent to Trunks by Buu for a few days). He appears again, albeit very naturally aged, in the last 3 episodes of Dragon Ball Z. It is likely that he died of old age between the series gap of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT, as he is nowhere to be seen in GT.

[edit] Bear Thief Image:One Star DB.svg

A huge sword-wielding bear that has a taste for sea turtle. Goku's first true battle is with this bear, who refuses to back down after Goku threatens to fight him if he won't let them pass. He was defeated easily.

[edit] Carrot Master Image:One Star DB.svg

The boss of a small group of gangsters that terrorize a small town. The ironic thing, is that he's a giant rabbit and his gang members wear fake rabbit ears. The reason The Carrot Master is feared so much is because he has the ability to turn people into carrots, just by touching them. He's sent to the moon by Goku where he's forced to make rabbit shaped treats for kids, (it's a play on an old Japanese folk-tale which says that rabbits live on the moon and make treats for children).

Although it's never really brought up, the character was probably killed when Jackie Chun (Muten Roshi) blows up the moon to reverse Goku's transformation in the 21st World Tournament.

[edit] Bubbles character appears in the Dragon Ball Z seriescharacter appears in the Dragon Ball GT series

Image:Bubbles.jpg Kaio-sama's pet monkey who serves as a training exercise. The exercise is to catch Bubbles. It seems easy, but the gravity on Kaio-sama's planet is 10x Earth's gravity and Bubbles is perfectly used to it. It takes Goku several days to catch Bubbles, but only a few seconds for Piccolo to catch him. He is killed when Cell self-destructs on Kaio-sama's planet. Many people say his name came from the Michael Jackson's old monkey of the same name.

[edit] Baby Gamera Image:One Star DB.svg

Baby Gamera (turtle taxi) is a mode of transportation utilized by Kame Sen'nin once very early on in the series to accompany the young Goku and Chi-Chi to Mount Fry Pan. He achieves flight by spinning very rapidly. The downside to using this mode of transportation, for Kame Sen'nin is that he immediately vomits upon disengaging. He is a miniature version of the classic Japanese monster Gamera.

[edit] King Furry Image:One Star DB.svgcharacter appears in the Dragon Ball Z seriescharacter appears in the Dragon Ball GT series

A short cat-like animal is the eigth King of the World and has ruled the world through the entire manga Dragonball series. Even though he is important to the Dragon World, he plays a surprisingly small role. He shows up mainly in DB when King Piccolo assaults his castle. Because of this and the events following, he is one of the few people that knows Goku is a hero, as he proves when he says himself that he doesn't believe for a second that Mr. Satan killed Cell. He shows up again in DBZ when Nappa and Vegeta attack, during the Cell Games, giving ki to Goku's final Genki Dama against Buu, and in DBGT he helps with the evacuation of the citizens of Earth to the Planet Plant.

[edit] Scratch Image:One Star DB.svgcharacter appears in the Dragon Ball Z series

Image:Scratch.gif A small black cat, a pet of Dr. Briefs that is always seen sitting on his shoulder. "Scratch" is suggested to be a female, although nothing official has been stated on the cat's gender. It is also suggested that Scratch knows about how mechines work and can be fixed, but the lack of speech would pose quite an issue. The North American dub gives this cat the name "Scratch," whereas the Japanese anime names the cat "Tama."

[edit] Z

Z is the title character of Neko Majin Z. He is a parody of Son Goku, wearing an orange-and-blue dōgi and carrying what is apparently the Nyoibō on his back. He is also able to perform the "Nekohameha," a takeoff on the "Kamehameha." It is revealed in the final two chapters of Neko Majin Z that it was, in fact, Goku who trained the cat in the first place.

[edit] Giran Image:One Star DB.svg

A huge Pteranodon monster who competes against Son Goku in the 21st Tenka'ichi Budokai and forfeits the match. He's very powerful for his strength, but Goku counters him eventually. In the anime, his character is built up a lot more with a bar-fight scene. (Some drunks make fun of him for ordering milk so he beats all of them). He likes introducing himself as "Kujirada." During the Piccolo Daimaō arc, Giran is confronted by Tambourine due to Piccolo's order to have all past Tenkaichi Budokai competitiors killed. Giran proves to be no match for Piccolo's offspring, and is quickly taken out; however he's revived thanks to the Dragonball's at the end of the saga.

[edit] Man-Wolf Image:One Star DB.svg

A chubby werewolf fellow who tranforms into a man when he looks into a full moon. While he was a werewolf, Jackie Chun completely destroyed the moon with a powered-up Kamehameha Wave in order to stop a rampaging Goku who transformed into an Oozaru, causing Man-Wolf to stay as a hideous wolf forever. In the next tournament, he tried to get his revenge by facing Chun. He is almost disqualified for using a pocket knife, but Chun lets him continue, and wins anyway by throwing a dog bone for Man-Wolf outside the ring and having him lose out of bounds. Afterwards, Chun cures his problem by substituting Kuririn's head for a full moon. He was then killed by Tamborine but was revived by the Dragonball's.
