Loaf 'N Jug

Loaf 'N Jug is a chain of convenience stores owned by Kroger. Kroger purchased Loaf 'N Jug in 1986.<ref>New name for Kroger's MiniMart stores Convenience Store Decisions, March 1, 2005.</ref> In 2006, Kroger consolidated all its convenience stores under the Loaf 'N Jug banner, rebranding its Turkey Hill, Kwik Shop, Quik Stop and Tom Thumb chains as Loaf 'N Jugs.<ref>Kroger to re-brand hundreds of c-stores in 16 states NPNweb.com, March 28, 2006.</ref> The new stores have been expanded to provide gasoline, obtained from local independent fuel distributors instead of Conoco.
As of 2006 there were approximately 800 Loaf 'N Jug stores in 16 states.
