Loznica (Serbian Cyrillic: Лозница) is a town and municipality located in the Mačva District of Serbia. It lies at Drina river, at 44.53° North, 19.22° East. Its name stems from the word "loza" - (Serbian word for vine). In 2002 the town had total population of 59,863, while the municipality had a population of 86,413. Old name of this town is Ad Drinum.
