Madison Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 2,222.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.4 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.4 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.48% is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 2,222 people, 1,012 households, and 608 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 412.5/km² (1,067.0/mi²). There were 1,208 housing units at an average density of 224.2/km² (580.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.57% White, 0.59% African American, 0.72% Asian, 0.27% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.80% of the population.
There were 1,012 households out of which 24.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.4% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.9% were non-families. 36.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.18 and the average family size was 2.86.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 21.1% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 22.6% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 22.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 86.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.2 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $59,609, and the median income for a family was $86,876. Males had a median income of $56,641 versus $40,179 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $42,046. None of the families and 1.3% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 1.7% of those over 64.
