Manic Subsidal is the former name of the band The Offspring. This was their original name upon forming in 1984 and they changed their name to The Offspring in 1987. The only song ever recorded under this name was named "Hopeless" and was released on a compilation CD, Party Animal: We Got Power 2 in 1984.
