Manilkara is a genus of trees occurring throughout the tropics. The best known species are M. zapota (Sapodilla), M. chicle (Chicle) and M. bidentata (Balatá).
The genus yields edible fruit, wood and latex.
Synonyms of the genus include Achras and Sapota.
