Marketplace Station is a future Transitway Station located in Ottawa, Ontario. This station which will be built before 2009 will be located near the intersection of Greenbank Roadand Strandherd Drive in the heart of Barrhaven in the south end of the city. It will be the future terminus of some Route 95 trips.
This station will be located beside an extensive commercial zone which contains big-box stores and department stores that were built over the past few years. It includes a shopping plaza called Riocan MarketPlace, the name of the future station.
It is part of a significant Transitway expansion plan by OC Transpo that will link the Southwest section to most of the developping residential areas that were (and will be) built. It will also intersect with the extended North-South Light rail project near the area.
