  • Matte (filmmaking), film and video technology
  • Matte Babel, MuchMusic VJ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • Matte box, camera accessory that essentially does the same thing as a lens hood and also mounts in front of the lens
  • Open matte, filming technique that involves matting out the top and bottom of the film frame in the movie projector
