McMillan and Wife was an American crime drama television series that aired on NBC from 1971 to 1978. It starred Rock Hudson and Susan Saint James as Stewart and Sally McMillan, the police commissioner of San Francisco and his sporadically helpful wife. The show also featured Nancy Walker as the McMillans' opinionated housekeeper, Mildred, and John Schuck as McMillan's right-hand man, Sgt. Enright.

The series first premiered in the fall of 1971 in 90-minute episodes as part of the wheel series NBC Mystery Movie, in rotation with Columbo and McCloud. Initially airing on Wednesday night, the original line-up was shifted to Sunday in the second season, where it aired for the rest of its run. In 1977, Saint James' character was killed off and the show ran for its final season under the title McMillan.

Like the other shows in the Mystery Movie, McMillan and Wife was an immediate hit. It appears regularly in the form of syndicated reruns on local and cable American television.

The address for the couple was once given in the show as 250 Carson Street. Sally wore a long red football jersey nightshirt with the number 18 emblazoned on it. In 1977, Sally's character was killed off, along with Mildred, due to an airplane crash. The main characters on the show followed in the footsteps of forner husband-and-wife crime solvers, such as Nick and Nora Charles and Mr. and Mrs. North.
