• BBC Scotland — the national broadcaster, based in Queen Margaret Drive
• Scottish Television — one of Scotland's two independent ITV companies, owned by the SMG plc which also owns Grampian Television (both Scottish and Grampian are now known as stv).

Television programmes set in Glasgow include; Taggart, Rab C Nesbitt, City Lights, Chewing the Fat, River City, and Still Game.

• The Springburn Herald — Weekly newspaper covering the area of North Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire
• G41 — Monthly community newspaper serving Dumbreck, Pollokshields, Strathbungo, Shawlands and Langside. Published by a social enterprise called Southside Media.
