Michael Farr

Michael Farr is a leading British Tintinologist, that is, an expert on the world of the comic Tintin and it's creator, Hergé. He has written numerous books on the subject as well as translating several others into English. He is also a writer on several other subjects and was a former reporter.

He was born in 1953 in Paris to British parents. He became a reporter, first for Reuters and then the Daily Telegraph, travelling around the world. After meeting Herge, he started writing his books about him, becoming one of the world's greatest tintinologists. In 2002 he was interviewed on BBC News in a section on the Tintin exhibition at the Greenwhich Maritime Gallery. In 2003, he appeared in the film documentary, Tintin and I.
