Michael Richard Daniell Foot (born 1919) is a British historian. He is known for his works of modern military and covert operations history. Usually known as MRD Foot, he left the Labour Party while his namesake was leading it and joined the SDP (Social Democratic Party) instead, which gave him wider brief prominence as a result.
