A mitre can be:
- several types of headdress, notably :
- a traditional, ceremonial head-dress of bishops and some other clergy in Christian Churches. See mitre.
- hence a similar looking military uniform cap, as worn by European Grenadier infantry in the 1700s.
- the headband worn by women in ancient Greece. See mitre (headdress).
- a type of join in woodwork. See miter joint.
- An organization specializing in high technology systems engineering and usually spelled out in capitals: MITRE.
- Bartolomé Mitre, Argentine president, military figure, and author.
