'Model' is a manhwa series, written by Lee So Young. It is published by Tokyopop, and there are six books so far, with more on the way.

The story revolves around Jae, a young art student trying to make it. One night, her friend brings an unconscious, very beautiful man into her flat, and persuades her to look after him, at least until morning. But, in the night, Jae imagines that the man has crept into her room, bared his fangs, and bitten her in the neck! It turns out that this is indeed not a dream, and the man in her flat is a vampire, called Michael. Jae is intrigued by him, and they strike a deal: that she will allow Michael to drink from her, and he, in return, will model for a painting of him - this means a great deal to Michael, who has not allowed anyone to paint a picture of him before. He patronises Jae, telling her she is talentless as an artist: this makes her all the more determined to paint him, and she soon moves into his mansion.
While Jae stays in the mansion, trying to understand her ever-elusive model, and the other residents of his mansion, she is faced with strange revelations: from Michael's angry 'son', Ken, and the impenetrable and mysterious Eva, and the surprising visitors to the mansion.

The genre can be described a 'gothic romance'. The art style is distinct: gothic and intricate. The characters are drawn with angled features, and long, stick-like limbs, which can look awkward.

Jae:
An aspiring artist, who unknowingly admits a vampire into her flat, and strikes a deal with him. He may feed on her, if she may paint him.
Michael:
A vampire, who models for Jae, in return for her blood. He is very beautiful, and his fear of losing this beauty caused him to become a vampire. His relationship with Ken and Eva, and his real feelings and plans for Jae become gradually apparent as the series continues.
Ken:
Loathes Michael, but is often forced to obey him. He claims, initially to be Michael's son, though the real relationship turns out to be more complex than this. His feelings for Jae become clearer as the series continues.
Eva:
The housekeeper at Michael's mansion. She betrays little feeling to Jae, although it is obvious that she is closely connected to both Michael and Ken. We find out about her previous occupation as the series continues.
