Montreal East (in French: Montréal-Est), is a town in southwestern Quebec, Canada on the Island of Montreal. The largest Canada oil refinery is in this city.
In 2002 it was merged into the City of Montreal. It later voted to demerge and was re-established as a town on January 1, 2006. It was the only community in the eastern half of the island that voted to demerge. Montreal East's mayor, Yvon Labrosse, won his seat by acclamation.
