Muttappathi

Muttappathi is one of the holy sites of Ayyavazhi. It is among the Panchappathis (five places where God is in Tamil). This site was situated some 2 km north-east to Kanyakumari. According to Akilattirattu Ammanai, this is the place where Ayya Vaikundar was present with the people during the last phase of Thuvayal Thavasu. Alongside of Swamithoppe, it attracts a huge amount of devotees annually across southern India.
