The Narita Line (成田線 Narita-sen) is a name used by three railway lines located in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The longest of the lines runs between the cities of Sakura, Narita and Choshi; the second-longest runs from Narita to Abiko and is often called the Abiko Line, and the shortest runs from Narita to Narita International Airport. The first two lines are owned and operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East); the airport spur is owned by a separate company, Narita Airport Rapid Railway, which allows JR and Keisei Railway to use the line for their passenger services.

[edit] Trains

Image:JRE-253.jpg Narita Express trains travel on the Narita Line but only stop at Narita Airport.

Ayame limited express trains run between Tokyo, Choshi and Kashima. They stop at Sakura, Narita, Namegawa, Sawara and all stations past Sawara.

Rapid service trains run between Kashima and Tokyo, stopping at all stations on the Narita Line between Sakura and Sawara.

Rapid service trains on the Abiko line make all station stops.

Both older Type 113 trains and newer Type E217 trains are used for local and rapid service. Ayame services use Type E257 trains.
