The National Conference of State Legislatures is a body established in 1975 to serve the members of the state legislatures of the United States.

It is a bipartisan organisation that provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues. It is also an advocate for the interests of the states before Congress and the federal government.

NCSL maintains two offices: one in Denver and the other in Washington, D.C..
