Nadia Nuss is a Ukrainian-born Russian artist. She and other art professionals and art critics call her unique style of visual arts "NeoPopRealism", a term which she created in 2003<ref>http://nadiaruss.com/_wsn/page3.html]</ref>. NeoPopRealism combines the brightness and simplicity of pop art with deep realism, high color energy and graphic nature. Her first exhibit was established in the Manej in Moscow in 1989, and her first American art exhibit debuted in 1992. Nadia Russ's work toured different venues in Central America, Europe and the Caribbean - the latter hosting her gallery in the Xanadu hotel located in Freeport, Bahamas. The NY Daily News has referred to her art as "bold and fanciful..."[1] and the NY Arts Magazine has called Nadia "...a master of balancing the hi energy colors in her compositions with poetic drawing style..."[2].

[edit] Nadia Russ In the Bahamas

In 1996, Ms. Russ became the first and only Russian resident of the Bahamas.[citation needed] Her artwork gained a tropical influence from island life, the warm weather and bright beaches creating a colorful and high energy atmosphere for her paintings, that atmosphere being one of the main characteristics of NeoPopRealism. Nadia gives more detailed characteristics and a brief lesson on painting in the NeoPopRealist style in her book.<b/>

[edit] NeoPopRealist Philosophy

In 2004, Nadia Russ created the NeoPopRealist philosophy and its 10 commandments. It is intended to be the philosophy of the new millennium, reflecting contemporary life and its needs. The mission of the NeoPopRealist philosophy is to make this world a peaceful and happy place to live, without wars, revolutions and terrorism.<b/>

1. Be beautiful.
2. Be creative, never stop studying and learning.
3. Be peace loving and positive minded.
4. Do not accept communistic philosophy.
5. Be free minded, doing the best you can to move the world to peace and harmony.
6. Be family oriented, selfdisciplined.
7. Be free spirited. Follow your dreams.
8. Believe in God. God is one.
9. Be supportive to those who need you.
10. Create your life as a great adventurous story.

[edit] NeoPopRealist Movement

The NeoPopRealist movement has been presented to some acclaim by the worldwide artistic community; both artists, who began to paint in this manner, and art enthusiasts. Since June, 2006, lounge-restaurants - common hosts to NeoPopRealist connoisseurs[citation needed] - located in the Midtown and Uptown areas of New York City's Manhattan district have served such art-themed tropical drinks as "NeoPopRealist Fabulous" and "NeoPopRealist Key" in creative conjunction with Ms. Russ.
