News Channel 8

The term NewsChannel 8 is also used to refer to Tampa, Florida's station WFLA-TV.

News Channel 8 is a 24-hour news service offered in the Washington DC metropolitan area over all cable services. It is available to cable subscribers in Alexandria, Arlington County, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, and Loudoun County in Virginia; Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland; and Washington, DC.

News Channel 8 is owned by Allbritton Communications, which operates Washington DC broadcast television station WJLA Channel 7.

On September 5, 2006, Comcast Cable in Montgomery County moved News Channel 8 to channel 28 to make way for CN8.
