[edit] Career
Mitchell competed in the $1,000,000 Tough Enough competition back in late 2004. After competing in Deep South Wrestling, LLC Mitchell was moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling because the WWE creative team wanted him to join Ken Doane, Mike Mondo, Johnny Jeter, and Nick Nemeth in the Spirit Squad stable. Even though Mitchell was injured, he still made appearances at ringside on OVW events.

[edit] Spirit Squad
Mitch made his RAW debut on January 23, 2006 as part of the Spirit Squad, a male cheerleading stable. The group, also consisting of Kenny, Johnny, Nicky, and Mikey, entered the arena during Coach and Jerry Lawler's Royal Rumble qualifying match. They surrounded the ring cheering for the Coach, distracting Lawler long enough for Coachman to gain a roll-up victory.
Since then, The Spirit Squad have made more appearances on RAW and WWE Unlimited. This included performing a special cheer for Trish Stratus during a celebration held for her by Mickie James. The Spirit Squad then became a part of an on-going feud between WWE chairman Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels. The heel McMahon hired the Spirit Squad to perform disrespectful cheers and attack Michaels. All squad members except Mitch were involved in a 4-on-1 handicap match on the February 20, 2006 RAW, against Shawn Michaels. Mitch was at ringside cheering through his megaphone during this match, and his fellow Spirit Squad members were disqualified, but they continued the beatdown after the match, prompting Michaels' former partner Marty Jannetty to get involved. The Spirit Squad (apart from Mitch) even won a 4 on 1 tornado handicap steel cage match against Michaels, and interfered during the Michaels/McMahon match at WrestleMania 22.
On the April 3, 2006 edition of RAW, Kenny, along with fellow Spirit Squad member Mikey, defeated The Big Show and Kane to win the World Tag Team Championship with help from the other members of the Spirit Squad (Nicky, Mitch, and Johnny). It was later announced that all five members of the Spirit Squad would be recognised as the World Tag Team Champions and any combination of the squad members could defend the titles in each match. As a result of this rule, Nicky and Johnny defended the titles the following week in the rematch.
On the April 17, 2006 edition of RAW, Mitch made his in-ring debut when he competed alongside his fellow cheerleaders in 5-on-1 handicap match against Rob Van Dam. The Spirit Squad were victorious.
On the April 24, 2006 edition of RAW, all five members of the Spirit Squad faced John Cena, Triple H, and Edge in a Handicap match. The match went to a no contest when Triple H started brawling with John Cena.
He and the other members of the Spirit Squad lost to D-Generation X in a 5 on 2 match at Vengeance. He was also shoved into Triple H's bare behind after the match making him the first member of the DX Kiss my Ass club. He and the rest of the Squad would lose again to DX in a 5 on 2 elimination match at Saturday Night Main Event, he would also be the first member eliminated.
[edit] The End of the Squad?
On the October 16th, 2006 taping of RAW, Spirit Squad were up against Cryme Tyme in a non-title match. It was Cryme Tyme's debut. Spirit Squad lost the match, and shoved each other around. It then escalated to a fight between Mitch and the other members, however Kenny left calling them losers. This is believed to be either the end of the Spirit Squad, the beginning of their solo career, or both. At Cyber Sunday, the Squad lost the World Tag Team Championship to Ric Flair and Roddy Piper.
On the November 27 edition of RAW, the Spirit Squad lost a 5-on-3 tag team match against Ric Flair and DX. Following the match, DX stuffed all five Spirit Squad members into a large black box. Michaels proceeded to put a sticker on the box with OVW, WWE's developmental establishment based in Louisville, Kentucky on it. Michaels hired OPS, and stated that they did not want to spend any excess money on insurance for the shipment. The act concluded with Michaels signing with Mr. McMahon's signature to ship them out.
