Nineteen Eighty-Four was an American television adaptation of the novel of the same name by George Orwell, broadcast on CBS in the fall of 1953. Eddie Albert played Winston Smith, Norma Crane was Julia, and Lorne Green appeared as O'Brien. It was the first television version of the novel, and was broadcast in the Studio One series on 21 September 1953.
