The Northern Sumatran Rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis lasiotis) was a subspecies of the Sumatran Rhinoceros. It is now extinct. They were browsers and lived in rainforest, and mountain habitat. Formely it roamed in India and Bangladesh but it is now confirmed they are extinct in these areas. Although their may be possibly a very small population in Myanmar but this is not confirmed. Their demise came from habitat descrution of rainforest, the illegal poaching for their horn and hunting for sport.
