Nyi Roro Kidul

Nyi Roro Kidul or Ratu Laut Selatan (Queen South Sea) is a goddess or Queen of southern sea of java (Indian Ocean) in Javanese and Sundanese mythology. She controls the violent waves of Indian Ocean. Sometimes she is referred as one of Sultan of Yogyakarta wife or just his allies corresponding to Merapi-Kraton-South Sea axis in Yogyakarta Sultanate.
