From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister is an office with purely secretarial function to support the Deputy Prime Minister, currently John Prescott MP, after the 5 May 2006 reshuffle of Blair's government.
Upon the reshuffle the original Office of the Deputy Prime Minister was renamed Department for Communities and Local Government, with Ruth Kelly named the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
