Orsara di Puglia is a city in southern Italy. The city has approximately 13,000 inhabitants. It is a beautiful, "old world" city located in the hills of the region of Puglia.
[edit] Overview
Orsara can be reached by a four hour train ride from Rome. Once you arrive in Rome, you take a train to Foggia. It is the next major city closest to Orsara. Once there, you may take the bus to Orsara. It is a very winding road.
In a small city like this one, you can find yourself feeling like you're in the middle of a tomato sauce commercial. There is a main street that has most of the stores, tabaccinis, and bakeries. During the summer months almost everyone goes walking up and down this main street starting at about 9pm. This is to literally "run into" friends and catch up.
On the outskirts of the city lies plenty of farmland. Many there grow olive trees, tomatoes, grapes, and other crops. Most people use their crops for personal use as olive oil and wine for example.
also many years ago when orsara was first inhabited there was a king of the villiage . the remains of their small castle and tiny courtyard can still be seen to this day.also i am from there my name is sean trevaskis.
