Otto von Below

Image:Otto von Below LOC.jpg Otto von Below (January 18, 1857 - March 15, 1944) was born and died at Danzig (Gdańsk). In World War I, he took part as an army commander in the battles of the Masurian Lakes (February, 1915). He fought in campaigns in Macedonia (1916) and in Italy (1917). In 1918, he commanded the 17th Army on the western front. General Otto von Below retired in 1919.
