The Pakistan Open golf tournament was first played in 1967. In 2006 it was part of the Asian Tour schedule for the first time. It was won by Chris Rodgers of England. The prize fund was US$200,000.At the moment, the best talented Pakistani golfer is in America studying. His name is Ahad Hayat. He was Pakistan Junior number 1 for 2 years before becoming an Amature.
