Parcel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Mail
A parcel is a mailable or shippable item other than a letter, book, or other document. For the United States Post Office, over 75 pounds (34 kg) a package becomes a "large item".
A parcel can also be shipped by a Courier.
The acronym UPS stands for United Parcel Service.
[edit] Land
In GIS or Tax talk a parcel is: a contiguous area of land described in a single description by a deed or other instrument or as one of a number of lots on a plat or plan, separately owned and capable of being separately conveyed. In other words, a parcel is a unit of land under unified ownership (with or without buildings). <TH>
