Peter Whitehead (born in Menston, Ilkley, Yorkshire, November 12, 1914 - died in Lasalle, Nimes, France, September 21, 1958) was a Formula One driver from England. He participated in 11 grands prix, debuting on July 2, 1950. He achieved 1 podium, and scored a total of 4 championship points. In addition to his Formula One career he shared victory in the Le Mans 24 hour race with Peter Walker in 1951, racing for Jaguar.
Whitehead's last great performance was at Le Mans in 1958 where he came second in an Aston Martin, sharing the driving with his half-brother Graham Whitehead. A couple of months later Peter was killed and Graham injured, when they were competing together in the Tour de France, as their Jaguar crashed off a bridge into a ravine at Lasalle, with Graham at the wheel.
