Piano Concerto (Khachaturian)

Aram Khachaturian wrote his Piano Concerto in 1936.<ref>http://www.moscowchamberorchestra.com/disc_other_chan8542.html</ref>. The piece is in three movements and is in D flat major.<ref>http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000042DF/sr=1-1/qid=1156526973/ref=sr_1_1/002-6173523-3845610?ie=UTF8&s=music</ref> The first movement, Allegro ma non troppo e maestoso, makes extensive use of the three-note theme of D-flat, F, and E-natural. The second movement, Andante con anima, is one of the only major classical pieces to make use of a flexatone. The third movement, Allegro brillante, caps the piece in an exciting manner.
