  • A ball, or anything small and round, hence also:
    • A bobble of fiber that develops with use or wear on a textile article
    • A pharmacological tablet, hence also:
      • "The Pill", a general nickname for any oral contraceptive, i.e. "on the pill"
      • British slang for an Ecstasy pill
      • American slang for recreationally used prescription drugs, particularly when used in plural, i.e. "popping pills"
  • A tidal inlet on the coast, or a small creek of a river, hence:
  • A stake, stockade, stronghold or castle in the Welsh Language, hence:
  • The Tyrolean municipality of Pill, Austria.
  • A disagreeable or tiresome person (e.g. "He is a pill")
