Elements (words, grammatic structures, syntax) from Polish and English languages are sometimes mixed. The most common cases are native speakers of Polish who try to speak English by translating Polish sentences pretty much word-for-word, or where English words are used in Polish speech - like in computer jargon or advertising.

Such mixing is also sometimes used for comical effect. Some well-known examples:

  • Thanks from the mountain (literal translation of Z góry dziękuje, meaning Thanks in advance)
  • We can offer you such a room for Możemy zaoferować państwu taki pokój, which should be We have a room like that

Some people refer to it as Poglish, Polglish or Pinglish, but these terms aren't common.
