A portmanteau (plural: portmanteaux or portmanteaus) is a word that is formed by combining both sounds and meanings from two or more words.
Portmanteau may also refer to:
- portmanteau film - an anthology film made up of several short films that inter-relate
- portmanteau (suitcase) - a large travelling case rarely used now
- portmanteau test - in statistics, a test applied to autocorrelations of a time series
- It comes from French : porte-manteau (coatrack).
