Villains
In Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive, there are competing factions of villains that the Rangers must combat to prevent from acquiring the Crown of the Gods. According to the synposis, there will be three other factions, besides Moltor and Flurious.
- Moltor: He lives in the heat of a volcano. He and his brother, Flurious, have fought since the beginning of time to obtain the Crown of the Gods. His henchmen are called the Lava Lizards.1
- Flurious: His lair lies in a sub-zero glacier. His henchmen are called the Chillers.2
Arsenal
- Overdrive Tracker: The Overdrive Tracker is the Morpher for Operation Overdrive. It is equipped with a black light that can decode hidden messages, the Turbo Wheel which allows the Rangers to execute commands, and a keypad to be used for summoning their various Zords. The morphing call, as stated on the packaging for the toy line, is "Overdrive Accelerate!" This Morpher is designed after a cell phone, similar to the Morphers of Power Rangers in Space3, Wild Force, and Mystic Force.
- Drive Defender: The personal sidearm for the rangers, the Drive Defender features both a gun mode and a sword mode.
- Each Ranger will possess his/her own weapon:
- The Red Ranger wields the Drive Lance, a spear with a giant blade.
- The Black Ranger wields the Drive Slammer, a giant hammer.
- The Blue Ranger wields the Drive Vortex, a handheld fan that can create strong winds.
- The Yellow Ranger wields the Drive Claw, two handheld bulldozer buckets that can be used to slash.
- The Pink Ranger wields the Drive Geyser, a powerful water-based gun.
- The red vehicle with claws from the first promotional video released by Disney is called the Red Transtek Armor Machine in the Bandai toy line.
Zords
As with every Power Rangers series, each Ranger gets his or her own personal Zord that can form a larger Megazord. In Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive, these Zords are all based on real vehicles.
- The Megazord for Operation Overdrive is called the DriveMax Megazord. It can morph into a truck-like vehicle known as the Mega Truck. When more of the auxilliary Zords are revealed, the DriveMax Megazord will be able to change into two as of yet unnamed modes, forming the first nine- and ten-Zord Megazords.
- Dump Driver, a dump truck driven by Mack as the Red Ranger.
- Speed Driver, a race car driven by Will as the Black Ranger.
- Gyro Driver, a gyroplane driven by Dax as the Blue Ranger.
- Dozer Driver, a bulldozer driven by Ronny as the Yellow Ranger.
- Sub Driver, a submarine with manipulator arms driven by Rose as the Pink Ranger.
Based on the source footage in Boukenger, there will be a total of eighteen Zords to be used among six Rangers. Other Zords include a giant drill vehicle, a backhoe, a concrete mixer, a crane, and a jet plane. These Zords are similar to the Auxilliary Dino Zords of Power Rangers: Dino Thunder in that they usually replace one of the arms of the core Megazord (execpt the jet). These five can also combine into another Megazord, but this one has only been seen in Boukenger's movie. A sixth silver-colored Ranger will have fire engine, police car, and ambulance Zords. The remaining five Zords make up a giant amphibious battleship/aircraft carrier Zord that turns into a separate Megazord. This Megazord's arms can also be interchangeable with the others.
