The Puggle is actually a toy character from The lost Forests.It has been sold in Australia since the 1970's and the US since mid 1980's.The baby Echidna and Platypus adopted the name as the young appeared to look like the toy Puggle character.There are many books still available on the Puggle character.The Puggle character preceeded the Puggle dog by 20 or more years.
