Aviation Acronym
A Q code used in aviation to indicate that the altitude being used is that viewed on a barometric altimeter when it is set to a standard ICAO pressure of 29.92 InHg or 1013.2 hPa, or a flight level.
QNE is also referred to as pressure altitude. A suggested mnemonic for the code is "Query Natural Elevation".
Can be viewed as height above the Standard Datum Plane defined by the ICAO Standard Atmosphere (ISA)..
