QinetiQ Mercator

Mercator is a British made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is currently being developed by QinetiQ. It is a type of "eternal plane" expected to be able to survive through the whole dark and light cycle of the day. This is achieved by having the solar panels run the craft while simultinously recharge the batteries to sustain the plane during the dark period.
