This list of richest American politicians (as of January 30, 2005) includes living and deceased office-holders, office-seekers and political appointees.

All figures are estimates. There is no uniform disclosure requirement for personal wealth, and indeed no consistent way to measure it. Figures may be wildly inaccurate.
