Robert Edwin Lee (October 15, 1918 - July 8, 1994), was a playwright and lyricist from Elyria, Ohio, probably best known for two collaborations with Jerome Lawrence - Inherit the Wind and Auntie Mame. Lee wrote using the name Robert E. Lee.
He attended Northwestern University and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University.
